Hello. Today I'm going to write about the book that was chosen to be read this term. The book is Bridget Jones's Diary. There are some reasons for such choice. The first one is that recently I've watched the film and found it amusing, I liked almost all actors and their acting so now I want to compare the characters in the book and in the film. The second reason is a piece of advice of our previous teacher. She offered me to read a funny and positive book because I was reading 3 books about problems of teenagers, about a suicide and such cheerful literature as Bridget Jones can improve my mood after those depressive stories.
Bridget Jones's Diary is the most famous and well known book of Helen Fielding who was born in England in 1958. The story about not very successful and clever woman was begun in 1995 ( hah, we are coevals) in a magazine and it's not over until nowadays. Some weeks ago I saw a new book about Bridget and her search of an ideal man, body and job and it proves her popularity even after almost 20 years. Some people wonder why it stands out among all other books. I think that Helen Fielding writes about a usual, not ideal woman who is loved even with all her demerits that gives everyone a hope to be happy.
